How sad!
With a second baby on the way with her adorbzies hubby Will Kopelman, everything in Drew Barrymore‘s life seems picture perfect…
….everything except for her relationship with her absent mother, Jaid Barrymore.
The Marie Claire cover girl explained:
“Ugh, I mean, my relationship with my mom is so complicated that ├óΓé¼┬ª I’ve always been empathetic toward my mom, and I was even more so when I had a kid and we had a really amazing conversation about it. However, it hasn’t enabled me to lessen the distance. It’s the hardest subject in my life. I’ve never just been angry with her. I’ve always felt guilt and empathy and utter sensitivity. But we can’t really be in each other’s lives at this point.”
How heartbreaking! We knew Drew had a troubled childhood with her drug addiction, but it’s a shame her bond with her mom is still broken after all these years.
Hopefully their strained relationship is making Drew an even better mother than we could imagine!
