There’s no doubt that Ellen DeGeneres‘ Dory voice in Finding Nemo and the upcoming sequel, Finding Dory, is absolutely ADORABLE, but apparently the comedienne will NOT do it for her wife Portia de Rossi!

Even though we love the absent minded Dory, Ellen was asked by ET at the Finding Dory premiere on Wednesday if Portia ever requests her partner to do the voice when they’re home to which the TV host sadly replied:

“I will be honest, no. That would be very weird. I think I would leave her. That would be the end of our relationship.”

The funny woman joked:

“She’s not a child. … [She’s not like,] ‘Talk whale to me! Dance for me!’ She doesn’t do any of those things. That would be bad if she said dance and talk whale at the same time.”

Despite the 58-year-old not getting to have fun with the fishy voice at home, she’s SUPER proud of the upcoming animated flick saying:

“It’s so great and it’s so good and I can’t wait to see it again because there are so many little clever lines. It goes so fast that you kind of miss some of the things. I recommend seeing it like 10 or 11 times, because you really need to see it a lot to get the little nuances — even 15 times. You have to see it more than once to really get it.”

We’re sure seeing the movie several times has NOTHING to do with the fact that DeGeneres is in the film. LOLz! But let’s be real, we’re still going to see it more than once!
Make sure you mark your calendars for June 17 when Finding Dory hits theaters!
