Ewan McGregor is the latest actor to sign on to the upcoming Madonna-directed film W.E.
McGregor will play Edward VIII who abdicated the throne in 1936 to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Vera Farmiga of Up In The Air has already signed on as Wallis and Abbie Cornish will be playing a “present-day” character in the vein of Julie and Julia.
Once again Madonna is DIRECTING and writing the script along with Alec Keshishian.
We absolutely adore her as a musical artist, but we’re not holding our breath for a hit film — especially with her track record!
But maybe she’ll prove us wrong with these casting choices? What do U think?
