Former Food Network Chef Arrested In Murder Plot

Former Food Network chef Juan-Carlos Cruz was arrested by Santa Monica police on Thursday for solicitation to commit murder.

The host of the canceled Calorie Commando, a healthy cooking show where he made low-cal versions of comfort food, allegedly asked several homeless men to kill someone. Luckily, one of them came forward.

The target has been notified of the scheme.

And his neighbors near Cruz’s Westwood home can’t believe the situation!

“He’s a fine guy,” claims a source in the area. “I find this hard to believe.”

Cruz was viewed as a church-going man who married to his high school sweetheart, attorney Jennifer Campbell. He was always seen walking the couple’s two dogs.

He is currently being held on $5 million bail.
