Because when you get right down to it, we’re all watching for the music!!!
Last night’s season premiere was chock-full of goodies for any musical theater nerd or lover of the 80s! True to his word, Ryan Murphy went “back to basics” and had his kids perform songs that were more befitting of the story telling, rather than just plucking them off of the Top 40 list.
We absolutely ADORED all the Broadway numbers, including a certain witchy duet between Lea Michele and Chris Colfer, and the powerhouse performance from Glee Project’s Lindsay Pearce, who proved that she earned her two-episode arc from Murphy. But our favorite number of the night goes to our beloved Darren Criss, who somehow was able to make Tom Jones look cool again with this sexy rendition of It’s Not Unusual!
