no title
The past year hasn’t exactly been the easiest for Gwen Stefani after her marriage to Gavin Rossdale came to an end in August.
Luckily, the blonde beauty was able to bounce back pretty quick with the help of her newfound love, Blake Shelton!
Not only that, but the No Doubt singer channeled all her pent up feelings and emotions and decided to make some sweet, sweet music.

One thing a lot of fans have noticed about the songs on This is What the Truth Feels Like is that they seem to be very honest about the singer’s emotional state.
For instance, lead single Used to Love You directly addresses the singer’s feelings towards her ex Rossdale, while Make Me Like You is so obviously all about her new man Blake Shelton.
Well, that’s no accident! The Voice judge opened up to GQ about the process of making her latest album as she dished:

“Everything happens so fast. It’s all happening in real time in the sense that, ├óΓé¼╦£Used to Love You’ came out only a couple weeks after I wrote it. The only reason I did that was just being honest. There’s been a lot of dishonesty around me, and I just don’t understand that because it’s just not how I live.”

“A lot of dishonesty,” eh? Inneresting…

The songstress continued:

“I didn’t want to make a record: I just wanted to not die. That’s it. The fact that now I have a record and people are hearing it, it just blows my mind.”

The 46-year-old went on to reveal:

“I did not think anything. I wasn’t thinking. I was feeling and I was dying. And then I was just like, ├óΓé¼╦£You can’t go down like this! You have to turn this into music. You have to try, at least.’ I was so embarrassed by just everything. I just didn’t want to be that person that just went down after all of that.”

Awwww!
Well we’re glad that Gwen is back to doing what she does best, and we wish her and Shelton all the happiness!
