Gwyneth Paltrow won’t stand for anyone pinning her against another woman! Especially Meghan Markle!
You may recall their feud rumors began in March when the Shakespeare in Love actress opened up to Vanity Fair about the Duchess of Sussex launching a competing lifestyle brand called As Ever and the comparisons it has received to her own company, Goop. Gwyneth started off great, saying she welcomes Meghan into the fold and feels “there’s always more than enough to go around.” She wants to support women rather than look at them as competition! Amazing! We love that! However, the girl power vibes of the interview disappeared the second the Emma star seemingly threw a little shade at the duchess!

Despite living in Montecito like Meghan, Gwyneth claimed she didn’t know her or her husband Prince Harry too well! Yet they’ve hung out together before! The Glee alum and her husband, Brad Falchuck, reportedly grabbed sushi with the couple in 2023! So, they aren’t total strangers! Gwyneth then clarified she “met Meghan” but doesn’t “know her at all.” Huh? She also joked she would “try to get through their security detail” to bring the Suits alum a pie one day. Yeah, the last comment gives the impression that Gwyn feels Meg is a bit standoffish. Oof.
The speculation escalated when fans believed Chris Martin‘s ex-wife mocked the Confessions of a Female Founder podcast host’s Netflix show With Love, Meghan. She posted a funny video on Instagram of herself making breakfast in pajamas, and folks thought she threw even more shade at Meg. Well, Gwyneth refused to let the rumors fly! She nipped it in the bud by meeting up with Meghan, with a slice of pie in hand, that same month and showed everyone in another clip on the ‘gram that all is well between them!
Now, the Iron Man star is going OFF about the messy situation! Gwyneth appeared on a new episode of The World’s First Podcast With Erin & Sara Foster on Thursday, during which she was asked if any rumors about her are true. And, of course, the one about Meghan came up! She clapped back:
“You know what I won’t be at this point in my life? I won’t be a pawn in some drummed-up, triangulation of women feud in order for your f**king clickbait. Leave us out of it. Leave us out of it. Don’t do that. I will not stand for that.”
Damn, Gwyn!
Once again, the mom of two stressed she doesn’t want to look at Meghan — or any woman — as competition. Instead, she wants to see everyone succeed! Gwyneth continued:
“Again, I wish Meghan nothing but the best. Like, it’s so great what she’s doing. I’m proud of her. Every woman deserves to go into anything that they want to do. People need to just check themselves.”
Ultimately, there is no bad blood between them! Gwyneth feels Meghan is “lovely,” and that’s it:
“She lives in Montecito, so I’ve seen her. I’ve hung out with her a few times. She seems really lovely. I don’t know her super well, but she seems really, really lovely.”
Well, not everyone feels that way! But at least Meghan has managed to win over Gwyneth during their hang out! One less rift for her to worry about! Watch her response to the feud rumors (below):
