Hailee Steinfeld Had To Switch Middle Schools Because Of Bullying!

Hailee Steinfeld has a pretty awesome life!
At just 16 years old, she gets to attend huge events like the Met Gala and she’s starring in the upcoming film Romeo and Juliet!
But before she was traveling around the world and getting nominated for Oscars she was just your average teenager, and apparently her middle school days weren’t quite as glamourous as the life she lives now!
Hailee says she was the victim of bullying, and things got so bad at one point she had to switch schools:

“Bullying is something I went through, from third to sixth grade, when I got pulled out [of school]. I still go through it. And if I can be the person who says, ‘Trust me when I tell you it will be OK,’ then I will be that person.”

Ugh! We NEVER like to hear about people being bullied, but luckily Hailee doesn’t let it get her down and manages to keep a positive outlook, saying:

“Often bullies are taking something [personal] out on others. If they use that energy to make someone smile, we can save so many people in the long run.”

AMEN!!
We’re not sure who would have the guts to STILL bully Hailee, because homegirl is super talented AND amazingly pretty! But we guess she’s getting the last laugh now!
