Darrell Sheets Was 'Terrified For His Life' Before His Tragic Death, Says Storage Wars Co-Stars

Darrell SheetsStorage Wars co-stars are sharing heartbreaking details about his final days.

As you likely know, the 67-year-old reality star passed away this week from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and police are investigating cyberbullying accusations related to his death. Since January, Darrell had been very vocal about the bullying he had experienced online over the past three years. He claimed cyber bullies allegedly hacked him, extorted money from people in town under his name, caused serious damage to his antique store, Havasu Show Me Your Junk, and more.

Darrell even went as far as to claim that if something ever happened to him, it was because of them, and “the police are aware of” what is going on. He reportedly filed a police report with the Lake Havasu Police Department claiming someone is threatening him on social media.

Oof…

This situation really concerned Darrell, according to his former co-stars Laura and Dan Dotson. So much so, he actually feared for his life, as well as the lives of those close to him! Laura told Us Weekly on Saturday:

“His family told us that this has been happening for three years. [It happens to] even strong men that you think aren’t gonna get their feelings hurt. Cyberbullying is a real thing. This made him feel less than, and it really obviously bothered him. He was terrified for his life [and] for the people around him. He didn’t know why he was being targeted.”

How sad. On top of the cyberbullying, Laura shared that Darrell was struggling with other things:

“He had other things also. His health and certain things that might have contributed to [his death]. Relationships, love interests and stuff that would go up and down, but [he] truly, truly was a wonderful, loving person who believed in God.”

Despite everything going on, it sounds like how Darrell died came as a surprise to the couple. Dan noted that when another friend died by suicide, Darrell had been in disbelief:

“He says, ‘I can’t believe anybody that could do that. They must have so much pain.’ So it was so hard for us to really believe that this happened.”

It’s so upsetting to hear how much Darrell was struggling before his death. We continue to keep his friends, family, and co-stars in our thoughts as they mourn his loss.
