Jodie Woods is looking back on a tough time in her family’s life. Yes, we’re talking about the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal.
Back in 2019, Jordyn Woods sparked a lot of backlash on social media after she got caught getting cozy with the 35-year-old basketball player while he was in a relationship with her best friend Kylie Jenner‘s sister, Khloé Kardashian. The model vehemently denied sleeping with Tristan in a Red Table Talk interview. According to Jordyn, they only kissed, nothing more! But sadly, the damage was done by that point. The scandal ultimately hurt her friendship with Kylie. The makeup mogul told Elle in 2024 that she was “heartbroken” over the rift with Jordyn, but they needed some distance from each other:
“We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance. Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her. To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that.”

Over the past few years, they have been working on their relationship. We’ve also seen them hang out together a lot more lately. However, the pain of the controversy hasn’t gone away with the snap of a finger — especially for Jordyn’s younger sister. She got candid about how she’s really struggled since then.
During the first episode of the new Netflix show Calabasas Confidential, which dropped on Friday, Jodie expressed that she feels like she has post-traumatic stress disorder after watching her sibling get ripped apart online over the cheating scandal:
“I am overly protective of my sister, which is crazy, because she’s my older sister. All these people are in my DMs and in comments talking about, ‘Go kill yourself,’ and, ‘I hope your sister dies,’ and I think I have, like, PTSD.”
Oof…
Tearfully, Jodie then shared that the situation left her more guarded with others these days:
“Because of everything that I’ve been through, it just makes me feel like I have to have my guard up with people. I’m so grateful for that, though, because it made us so much closer.”
