Let the tea party begin!
Harry Styles dropped his new album Fine Line on Friday, and fans are already questioning the inspiration behind one of the songs, Cherry!
In the slow-tempo track, the 25-year-old superstar sings about watching a former lover move on with someone else. Naturally, listeners thought the song was a reference to Harry’s year long relationship with Camille Rowe, with whom he split from in 2018.

Some of the lyrics go:
“Don’t you call him ‘baby’ / We’re not talking lately / Don’t you call him what you used to call me”
Elsewhere in the song, the former One Direction member sings:
“There’s a piece of you in how I dress… I just miss your accent and your friends.”
But the real clue came at the end of the track, where Harry plays a voice message from someone speaking French — which many fans took as yet another nod to the 33-year-old French-American model.

The translation, according to lyrics provider Genius, reads:
“Hey! Are you asleep? Oh, I’m sorry / Well, no… Nope, it’s not important / Well then… We went to the beach and now we— / Perfect! Let’s go!”
Harry hasn’t confirmed just who the song was about (and he probably never will, seeing as earlier this week he opted to eat cod sperm rather than reveal to Kendall Jenner whether any songs on the album were about her!), but he admitted in a recent interview with Zane Lowe that the vocals in the recording were provided by an “ex-girlfriend.”

He explained at the time:
“It got added in later on, and it felt so part of the song. It just felt like it needed it. We’re friends and stuff, so I asked her if it was OK. And she was OK with it.”
When asked what his ex thought of the finished track, the superstar said:
“I think she liked it.”
Harry and the Victoria’s Secret model reportedly met through their mutual friend Alexa Chung. She was spotted by fans at several of his performances near the end of their relationship, which, according to reports, ended shortly after Harry finished up his world tour in early July 2018.
