We’re not sure if this is real or just a publicity stunt.
According to reports, two members from the Australian band The Follow have gone missing in the US.
Turns out that one of the missing, Azaria, is the ex-boyfriend of Jess from The Veronicas.
In addition to Azaria, The Follow‘s female bass player, KJ, is also missing.
Apparently, the two were last seen on Friday in North Hollywood.
A blog post has been put up on the band’s MySpace page asking for people to help locate the two.
The post reads:
“WE’VE BEEN INFORMED THAT AZARIA AND KJ HAVE BEEN MISSING SINCE FRIDAY AUGUST 22ND. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THEIR WHEREABOUTS, PLEASE CONTACT US. KJ AND AZARIA WERE LAST SEEN IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD AT THE CORNER OF BURBANK & VINELAND. CONCERNED FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD CONTACT JaK COLEMAN FOR MORE INFORMATION.

The band’s management has also posted their own message, confirming the news is true.
It reads:
“Hey Bros,
Andrew and I are fucking flippin out right now. KJ and Azaria from The Follow are missing. They’ve been recording their full length the last few weeks. We got a call from their guitar player JaK. They’ve been MIA since last Friday. These kids have been on edge for the last few weeks and there is speculation that they just turned their phones off and wanted to get away.
If you guys know any info on where they might be, please send us a message. They were last spotted in North Hollywood on Friday, but I got a call from a friend of mine who swears she saw Azaria at Cinespace on Saturday night.”
This is eerily familiar to Disney has-been and former That’s So Raven star Orlando Brown.
Brown was reported “missing” back in April of this year. His manager then proceeded to post messages on MySpace concerned about Brown’s whereabouts.
Brown was “found” just 24 hours later.
And even if this is might be a publicity stunt for The Follow, let’s hope the two musicians are just recovering from a very long hangover.
Update: The band just posted this new update on their MySpace.
Apparently, this is not a joke and things have not been good amongst band members recently.
They say:
I received a phone call from a close friend of mine who swears she saw Azaria at CineSpace in Hollywood on Saturday night. I’ve been fielding calls and emails all day. JaK is here with me now and we’ve gone over everything to the point of exhaustion.
JaK and I wanted to thank you all for your messages. Thank you for all your love and support during this time. We feel confident that they’ll turn up as soon as they check this myspace page. We should disclose that the band has been going through some hard times recently, both as a band and as individuals. Working on the new record was the final breaking point for an already unstable band.
All of The Follow’s family and close friends have been contacted, we’ve filled a missing person’s report, and have reached out to the Australian Consulate for guidance.
