Hayden Panettiere is back on social media after creating a public Instagram to share never-before-seen pics with her fans!
The account popped up on Sunday, where the Nashville alum revealed a “newish” tattoo on the back of her neck. The large ink, which was done by artist Brendan Rowe, is of the Eye of Ra, an Egyptian symbol meant to invoke protection.

Hayden tagged fashion stylist and photographer Emily Buckingham in the caption of her IG post, writing:
“Newish ink #TheEyeOfRa ? @bonesthenskin”

The detail is so insane!! And we love the symbolism behind it, too.
Panettiere has only once publicly addressed (ex?) boyfriend Brian Hickerson assaulting her in a tweet responding to one fan who asked if a picture of her baby daddy Wladimir Klitschko was “Before or after he beat you.” She replied at the time:
“Wrong guy. Klitschko’s r legends. That’s my CHAMP.”
That was back in February.
It’s still unclear if the 30-year-old is still with Hickerson or not, especially since he’s been arrested twice over two separate domestic violence incidents involving the actress. He last faced domestic violence charges after the couple had a fight on Valentine’s Day in Jackson, Wyoming. The Teton County Sheriff’s Office was called about a domestic disturbance resulting in “an intoxicated male,” later identified as Brian wandering around Highway 22.
He told police his GF was inside, apparently claiming “he beat the f**k out of” her, which he later tried to deny. When police asked him, they noted his “demeanor immediately changed and he avoided the question.” Brian then told police he had specifically paid their private chef $700 to stay late so he “wouldn’t be accused of bulls**t.” The chef confirmed he was asked to stay late, saying he witnessed the couple arguing earlier.
Hayden told the cops how Brian had thrown her around and punched her, where it was reported they could see her bruised and swollen face, as well as a bad scrape on her hand. They concluded he had struck her “with a closed fist on the right side of her face.” Truly horrible!
So, perhaps her Eye of Ra tattoo is her way of looking for protection against him?? We can only wonder.
The single momma’s new Instagram account makes no mention of her love life, though she did repost a video of Wladimir speaking out against racism, which you can ch-ch-check out (below):
Otherwise, perusing through the feed shows her breathing in fresh air on the beach, beautiful photos of her stepmother, as well as her supporting the Black Lives Matter movement:
It’s great seeing her on the ‘gram, especially as this probably means we’ll get more updates now!
