Jerry Seinfeld is back in legal news.

A few months ago, author Missy Chase Lepine filed a slander lawsuit against the comedian after he went on the Letterman Show, called her a wacko AND compared her to the killers of John Lennon and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

Refresher – Seinfeld hates on Lepine because she accused Mrs. Seinfeld of plagiarizing her healthy eating cookbook.

Well, Jerry has hit back at Lepine. His lawyers have filed a suit that said since Seinfeld’s comments were ‘meant for laughs’ they’re covered and protected by his First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

Comparing someone to assassins is supposed to be funny?
