Oh, boy… Here we go again with Woah Vicky…
If you don’t recognize this influencer’s name, you’ll definitely recognize the drama she’s been attached to. Her entire career started back in 2017 with a scandal where she used racial slurs and claimed to be a Black woman. Then she delved into making music and rapping. A fight with Bhad Bhabie and a decision to become a devout Christian later… here we are with the natural next D-list celebrity step: faking her own kidnapping! Wait, WHAT??

The Instagram model, whose real name is Victoria Rose Waldrip, took to X (Twitter) over the weekend in some since-deleted posts and totally tricked her followers into thinking she was in danger. She wrote at the time:
“I have kidnapped Vicky. She is with me in Nigeria. I am demanding $1million for her release.”
This, understandably, had her fans worried! But it turns out it was just a cruel prank. On Sunday, the 24-year-old took to the ‘gram in a since-expired live video to explain the situation, per multiple outlets. While avoiding eye-contact with the camera, she said:
“Everything good ya’ll… sorry about that. I was just bored and having fun. Just getting a laugh, just getting a laugh in, that’s it.”
Uh… WTF?? Bored and having fun? By lying about being kidnapped?!
In the video, she begged for forgiveness before adding that this is how she has fun — because she doesn’t drink or go to clubs:
“We kind of got carried away with the joke, you know, we just like to have fun and joke. I don’t drink or go to the club, so this is how I find my entertainment. You know, it’s probably not the best way to do it. I’d probably be like reading the Bible or something like that.”
Ooookay… She then wrapped up her apology by blaming… the Bible? Vicky explained:
“Sometimes, you want to have a little fun. The Bible said laughter is good for the soul. So I’d be wanting to laugh, and this is how I find that funny.”
There are PLENTY of ways to have fun and laugh without lying to your audience about a serious and dangerous crime… Or to put it in terms she’d understand, without bearing false witness! Just sayin’!
