Isla Fisher has a lot of people in her life to be thankful for… and that evidently includes Donald Trump.
After winning the AACTA Trailblazer award on Wednesday night, the actress made sure to credit the President-elect in her acceptance speech — and shocker, the shout out was really just a dig at the politician’s incompetence!
During the Australian awards ceremony in Sydney, the Keeping Up With The Joneses star thanked the incoming POTUS for being the inspiration behind her success.

She quipped:
“I do need to thank Trump. I don’t think I’d be here if it weren’t for him showing the world that unqualified orange people can win things.”
Ha! But that wasn’t even the first of the Trump-related swipes in Fisher’s speech!
Earlier in the event, the 40-year-old also made fun of Melania Trump by reciting lines from one of Michelle Obama‘s speeches — just like Trump’s wife notoriously did in her Republican National Convention address earlier this year.
The actress said:
“From a young age, my parents told me the values that you work hard for what you want in this life, that your word is your bond, you say what you want to do and you keep your promises… those are actually Michelle Obama’s words. But I figured if Melania Trump can use them and have success I should try.”
LOLz!!!

Isla’s mother and husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, were reportedly in shock by Isla’s speech and were left in tears of laughter sitting in the audience.
We guess the Borat star isn’t the only political roaster in the family anymore!
