It'll Be Like Titanic, Only Longer...And Without The Boat

Okay, it really won’t be like Titanic at all except that it will star Kate Winslet and maybe win a lot of awards if it is any good.

HBO has just picked-up a five hour mini-series called Mildred Pierce. Kate will star as Mildred from the adaptation of the classic novel about a proud single mother working to connect with her daughter during the Great Depression in El Lay.

Production is slated to start in New York by April and no other roles have been casted. We imagine this all means we won’t see much of this thing until next year.

Sounds like an easy way to get Kate an Emmy, though!
