Adam Sandler must be honored. His family film, Jack and Jill, broke all sorts of records at The Golden Raspberry Awards this year when it won EVERY nomination…in EVERY category!
If ya haven’t heard of a Razzie before, it’s the one award that somebody working in Hollywood does NOT want to score. Luckily, almost everyone in the film business could rest easy knowing that their reputation would not be tainted because Jack and Jill was declared the worst of the worst after taking home every $4.97 trophy.
On top of the film being named Worst Picture, Mr. Sandler won BOTH Worst Actor and Worst Actress, while Al Pacino had a tough time being himself because he won Worst Supporting Actor for a role in which he was supposed to be playing himself.
The director and the screenwriters were also shunned honored for their work on the film, as well as David Spade, who was named worst supporting actress.
Nominees that Sandler managed to top in terribleness included Nicolas Cage for pretty much every movie had made this year, Russell Brand in Arthur, Taylor Lautner, and Nick Swardson for his Happy Madison produced film Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star.
