The State of California has a few bones to pick with Jax Taylor — 80,424 of them, to be exact!
Weeks before he’s set to walk down the aisle with fiancée, Brittany Cartwright, the Vanderpump Rules star was hit with an $80,000 state tax lien.
The 39-year-old is the highest paid cast member on the Bravo hit, pulling in a reported $25,000 per episode, or a staggering $600,000 a season. Yet despite making all that dough, he still owes the Golden State a whopping $80,424 in taxes, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder Clerk of Court.

For the past few months, Jax’s biggest financial priority has been preparing for a wholesome married life with Cartwright. The couple recently purchased their first home just a few blocks from costars Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval’s $2.075 million Valley Village residence.
The Bravolebrity also recently dropped some major dough on his fiancée’s engagement ring — spending a cool $70,000 on the 3.14 carat diamond. Jeweler Kyle Chan previously told Bravo about the rock:
“It features a double diamond halo, representing one for Brittany and one for Jax. Jax certainly spared no expense, choosing a certified white diamond over three carats.”
Clearly, Jax isn’t tight on cash. So, it’s no surprise that the State of California is feeling like Brittany felt in season sex: neglected, cheated on, and mad at themselves for thinking this financial f**k boi could actually change his ways.

The lien was filed against the Bravo bad boy on March 27, days before, ironically, Jax told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that he was very “smart” with his money.
When the host tried to offer him some financial advice back in April, the reality star insisted:
“We’re very smart. You might want to talk some of the other cast members on this, not me. I’m good. I’m frugal. My dad taught me well.”
Meanwhile, Taylor continues to be a cash cow of drama on Vanderpump Rules. As we wrote, the TV personality almost came to blows with costar James Kennedy during the show’s season seven reunion special that aired on Bravo last week.
As seen in a clip we shared, the two jumped out of their seats after Jax called James’ girlfriend “stupid” and “f**king useless,” causing poor Andy to have to jump in the middle of them and stop an all-out fist fight from going down on stage.
We wonder if this tax drama had anything to do with Jax’s rage that day…
