The Empire State of Mind‘s streaming service just announced Tidal X: 1020 Amplified by HTC to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Oct. 20 and will serve as the first in a series of charitable concerts!
Not only that but it’s going to feature tons of top artists including Prince, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, T.I., Fabolous, Damian Marley, Indochine, Thomas Rhett, DJ Cipha Sounds and DJ Reflex as well as Tidal acts Alessia Cara, Bas, Benjamin Booker, Flatbush Zombies and Justine Sky.
The company released a statement talking about the purpose of the concert, saying:

“[Tidal X is] aimed at raising awareness, funds, conscious engagement, and dynamic action for transformative and positive social impact worldwide.”

They also said that those lucky enough to see the concert can expect:

“collaborations on specially chosen songs to promote the message of unity through music.”

Honestly, with that kind of talent, we’d want to see it no matter what — the fact that it’s a charity event only sweetens the pot!
The streaming service also said that the total tickets face value proceeds will go to support charities connected with the New World Foundation and they also said during the pre-sale period they will match the net gross proceeds going to the Tidal X Fund!

That should be quite a bit of coin as tickets are ranged from $74 up to $244 and are available to Tidal members starting today at 12 pm ET!
After that you can expect them to pop up on Ticketmaster on Friday!
But if you can’t get tickets, you’re not TOTALLY out of luck as the show will also be live streamed for all members AND non-members on both Tidal and HTC‘s websites!
What do you think? Are you going to try and get tickets to this MEGA concert somehow or stream it from home?!
