Jena Malone Cut Completely From Batman v Superman -- As Zack Snyder Reveals Who She's NOT Playing!

no title
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is only a few weeks away and we’re getting a bit more information about what to expect from the blockbuster.
The comic book flick is not only introducing a new Batman played by Ben Affleck, but we’re getting our first ever live action Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg‘s very different version of Lex Luthor.
Aside from the obvious additions, we’ve also heard we’ll get a peek at Jason Mamoa‘s Aquaman and possibly Ezra Miller‘s Flash!

Ever since we heard Jena Malone was appearing, we’ve been DYING to know which DC Comics character she was playing…
Several fans have speculated the actress could either be Carrie Kelley — a female Robin from the comics — or possibly Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl.
Unfortunately for us, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to solve the mystery as director Zack Snyder revealed Malone was cut from the theatrical release!
He may not have wanted to lose her, but it was unfortunately necessary for the length of the film. The director said:

“We were just like, ├óΓé¼╦£Okay, look. We’re not making a three-hour movie. I mean, even I didn’t want to make a three-hour movie. I drove the cuts probably harder than anyone. The studio, they were willing to let the movie indulge pretty hard. But I felt like it’s at a manageable two-and-a-half hours. Let’s also not forget the credits are super long, the end credits. So the movie’s closer to two hours and 22 minutes.”

Fear not though as it was also revealed that the Hunger Games actress WILL show up in the R-Rated Blu Ray version of the film.

Though we’ll have to wait to see for sure, Snyder did give some clues about the character, saying:

“I think we should keep it private, but it’s nothing that’s been talked about. She’s definitely not Robin or Batgirl. I’m happy to say that.”

Interesting choice of words Zack! Saying she’s not “Batgirl” could be a sneaky way of leaving the option open that Malone could be playing Oracle!
In the comics, Barbara Gordon becomes Oracle after being shot by the Joker; paralyzed from the waist down, she helps Batman out through technology and hacking…
Who do you think Malone could be playing?!
