Jenelle Evans Breaks Her Silence On Being Fired From 'Teen Mom 2': ‘I Saw It Coming’

Jenelle Evans was certainly distraught when she found out that she was fired by MTV this week — but the news didn’t exactly take her by surprise.
The Teen Mom 2 alum opened up about her abrupt exit from the series a day after MTV announced that she was getting the boot. Initially, it was reported that the 27-year-old was “shocked” and “crying” when she found out about the network’s decision.
But, according to Evans, she wasn’t as emotional as outlets have been making it seem.

Was she “shocked”? A little bit, she told Us WeeklyHowever, the momma insists she wasn’t “crying” or “hysterical” when the news broke, contrary to earlier reports.
That could be due to the fact that Evans had a feeling MTV was about to let her go. She explained:

“I was a little bit shocked but I saw it coming. It’s shocking still but I respect their decision and have nothing but love for MTV… I was upset, I’m still upset, but this is a new chapter for me and my family. I will continue to try what’s best for me and my family.”

That family includes her husband David Eason, who triggered MTV’s decision to fire his wife when he allegedly shot and killed Evans’ dog Nugget because it “snapped at” their 2-year-old daughter Ensley.
The senseless dog killing was said to be the last straw for MTV to continue working with Evans and her family on Teen Mom 2 — something the network implied when it announced her firing on Tuesday. The statement said:

“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

Following the dog’s death, Evans revealed to Us that she was considering divorcing her 30-year-old husband, but needed some time to think things over.

After doing some thinking, the mother-of-three reportedly decided that she wanted to work things out with the gun enthusiast, whom she’s been married to since 2017, and was said to be “considering marriage counseling.”
Interestingly enough, it was reported earlier today that the couple had signed on to star in Marriage Boot Camp — which could help them in more ways than one!
Sounds like Jenelle is ready to start that new chapter… and that new chapter will probably still include her violent husband.
