Jenna Fischer Shuts Down 'Terrible' Rumor That She Still Wears Pam's Engagement Ring From The Office

Jenna Fischer doesn't wear Pam's engagement ring

You might be harboring strong feelings for John Krasinski, but Jenna Fischer wants to make it clear she is not!

The Office alum took to Instagram to shut down a silly rumor that she still wears the engagement ring Jim Halpert (Krasinski) gave to her character, Pam Beesly, on the beloved NBC sitcom.

The clarification was made on Monday after a fan commented on a photo of Fischer and her husband, Lee Kirk, asking whether she keeps Pam’s ring on IRL, writing:

“Yooo, do you still wear that ring john krasinski gave you??? It’s a weird question but I kept hearing that you do. Or did.”

The actress replied:

“what a terrible rumor! Of course not! I wear the ring that my actual husband of 10 years gave me!”

Phew. You can rest easy now, Emily Blunt!

As fans know, Jim gave Pam the engagement ring in the season five episode “Weight Loss” when he proposed to her outside of a gas station. The previous season, he told cameras that he bought the ring a week after the couple started dating.

While Fischer might not wear it, the actress previously revealed that she did keep the faux-rock after the series ended, writing in response to a since-deleted tweet:

“While true that I kept the engagement ring Jim gave to Pam, it was a silver prop ring, not worth $5,000, and I do not wear it in real life.”

Let’s hope she doesn’t have to tell us a third time!

When she hasn’t been dismissing ridiculous rumors, Fischer’s been spilling some quality Dunder Mifflin tea on her podcast, Office Ladies, which she co-hosts with her former co-star (and real life bestie) Angela Kinsey. In a recent episode, Fischer sort of revealed what was in the secret note Jim stashed in a teapot he gave to Pam in the season two episode “Christmas Party” (pictured below) that resurfaced in the season nine episode “A.A.R.M.”

Although audiences never learned what the note exactly said, Fischer revealed on the podcast that it was actually a heartfelt note from Krasinksi to her, telling listeners:

“[Co-creator Greg Daniels] suggested to John that he write a personal message from himself to me just saying what our time together on The Office meant to him, because we were wrapping up filming… And so that was his goodbye. It was the sweetest note. I’ll never say exactly what John wrote, but I will say, just know it was perfect.”

Awwww.

No wonder she kept the rock!
