But one celebrity who many people link to Bowie is Jennifer Connelly as she starred opposite the rock star in her breakout role in the 1986 film Labyrinth.
After the news of David’s passing, we hadn’t heard any immediate reaction from Connelly, but ET caught up with the actress last night at the 6th Biennial UNICEF Ball in Beverly Hills and asked her how she remembered him.
The Oscar-winning actress shared her thoughts about the 69-year-old’s passing:

“I think it’s very sad, his passing, for so many reasons.”

Jennifer went on to say of her former costar:

“To me, not only was he a genius, he was a genius who had the time to be kind. [That] was my experience of him. So my thoughts are with his family.”

We’re still extremely saddened by the musician’s passing, but it’s so wonderful to see how much love everyone had for the legend.
Our hearts go out to Bowie’s family and loved ones.
