Better late than never!
On March 1, 1969, Jim Morrison was alive and well, performing a concert in front of his adoring fans in Miami. That evening, he reportedly dropped his pants, giving the crowd a very personal view and the stunt landed him in prison for six months. Before he died, he was attempting to appeal the conviction, as he had proof that he never actually exposed himself to his fans. Sadly, he never got the chance to defend himself.
Fast forward to 2007, when a huge Doors fan approached Gov. Charlie Crist and insisted that the case be reopened so that Jim could be pardoned. Fast forward to today, as the pardon has finally come to pass.
After several years and the reassurance of the surviving band members that it didn’t happen, Gov. Crist, along with two other members, granted the pardon.
Wow. Guess we’re just going to ignore the 100 or so pictures of evidence? Okay, cool!
