Yesterday, we told you all about how J.Lo shot the Bronx-themed Fiat commercial in Hollywood.
Major uproar.
But now it seems like Chrysler is in trouble for filming a graffiti mural without asking the artist’s permission.
According to Wilfredo Feliciano, an artist with TATS Cru, the group didn’t receive contact from anyone prior to the shoot. He also says the art is copyrighted…
Eek! That sucks. But we’d also like to point out this: how many time is graffiti copyright material? And how do people go about knowing such information? Especially since it’s usually in public domain?
Now, if there was a big sign near he mural saying so (and maybe there was), then maybe we can see the line they’re claiming was crossed.
Chrysler says they’re investigating whether or not the art was “appropriately secured.”
