He finally ‘fessed up!
John Stamos opened up about the infamous television interview in Australia among other things in a charming new interview with The Advocate to promote his Broadway show Bye Bye Birdie.
Here are some HIGHlights:

On his appearance on Australian talk-show Mornings with Kerri-Anne:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóll be honest: When I went on that morning show, I was drunk. Yes, I was on sleeping pills and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered. And I never said I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót, but that whole Warner Bros. publicity machine got involved and said, ‘Just say he was jet-lagged.’ I said, ‘No, tell ├óΓé¼Γäóem the truth! I was fucking drunk in Australia. Big deal.’├óΓé¼┬¥
On running into Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig while all working on Broadway:
“Hugh├óΓé¼Γäós an old friend of mine and it├óΓé¼Γäós such a small community, so I├óΓé¼Γäóm sure I├óΓé¼Γäóll run into them. Some woman asked me the other day, ‘Is there a place where all you heartthrobs hang out?’ I said, ‘Yes, it├óΓé¼Γäós called the Hollywood Heartthrob Club. We just sit around and talk about how hot we are.’ There is a great bar, Bar Centrale, where everybody goes after their shows, so it├óΓé¼Γäós a good place to see your fellow actors.”
On aging yet remaining so youthful:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós funny, because I haven├óΓé¼Γäót had one ounce of Botox or any of that. I finally got gray hairs in the past couple years, and I wore it on ER, but they made me cover it up in this show. I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to be one of those weird-looking guys who gets old but stays looking young.”
On Perezzers(!!!):
You know, Perez is one of my buddies. It wasn├óΓé¼Γäót in the article, but Perez was actually there helping to direct my photo session when I was shooting the cover of The Advocate. He was down the street, so I said, ‘Come down here and help me figure out how to pose.'”
On marriage equality:
“My dad always told me to stay out of politics and religion, which I have for most of my career, but when that movie [Wedding Wars on A&E] came up and I felt so strongly about it, I had to do it. You know, for better or worse and whatever happened with my own marriage [to Rebecca Romijn], I remember how excited I was to propose to someone and have that day in front of all my friends and family to say, ‘This is who I love and want to spend the rest of my life with.’ I guess it├óΓé¼Γäós just a simple, surfacey thing, but how can you not allow someone to have those same beautiful feelings? That├óΓé¼Γäós why I did that movie.”

Oh, Uncle Jesse! You’re so wise and HAWT!
Have mercy!
