JoJo Siwa is in her messy era.
Earlier this week, the Dance Moms alum accused her exes of “clout chasing” and “love bombing” in a TikTok she captioned “It’s entertaining that’s for sure.” While she didn’t specifically name any of the exes in question, she dated influencer Katie Mills in 2021, and later Avery Cyrus in 2022… And apparently she’s been doing some reflection. Now, Katie is clapping back — and apparently she’s got the “receipts.”
In a Wednesday stitch of JoJo’s original video, the social media star revealed she’s “done being quiet.” She addressed the former So YouThink You Can Dance? judge directly:
“You hold a lot of power, you and your platform. How can you tell someone you love them and ghost them the next day, and then post all over the internet that we’re clout chasers and love bombers? I don’t get it.”
The less-than-pleased ex then compared her own situation to that of Avery’s, with both apparently being “hell”:
“You sent me and Avery through hell for months, and gave us no explanation why. You know we weren’t love bombers or clout chasers. Aren’t you the one that decided that we needed to go to the Hollywood Boulevard, Disney and the Lakers game? That wasn’t my idea. And anytime I posted something, I asked for you permission first.”
Wow, JoJo put them “through hell for months”?? We need more details! Katie added:
“And I have the text receipts to prove it, so don’t come at me saying that we were clout chasers. Everything was starting to die. Everything started to get quiet. But now that you posted a video like this, coming at us, we’re getting DMs back, the comments back. Knock it off. You know me and Avery can’t defend ourselves, so stop attacking us. Leave us alone.”

While Katie publicly confronting JoJo about her claims is new, the 19-year-old sharing her frustration over her exes using her for “clout” and “views” is not. If you remember back in December, after JoJo and Avery decided to go their separate ways, the YouTube sensation was captured on her momma Jessalynn Siwa’s Instagram Story pacing around a hotel room, explaining what was going through her head post-breakup:
“I got used for views. And for clout. And I got tricked into being told that I was loved and I got f**king played.”

In response, Avery told E! News:
“From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends. The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family.”
She added:
“I’m still very hurt that JoJo broke up with me, and I’m saddened and confused by the situation.”
By the sound of it, both Avery AND Katie are confused. JoJo has yet to hit back, but we’re sure there’s more to come.
