Joseph Duggar has been hit with more charges following his arrest for allegedly molesting a child! And that’s not all! His wife has now been arrested, too!
As we previously reported, the 19 Kids and Counting star was taken into custody for lewd and lascivious behavior involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor after allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl during a trip to Florida in 2020. However, Joseph has been slapped with additional criminal charges. The Tontitown police Department in Arkansas announced in a press release on Friday that the 31-year-old former reality star is facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.

His wife, Kendra Duggar, is also facing the same charges! Whoa! According to jail records, the 27-year-old was arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at 4:56 p.m. on Friday. See her mugshot (below):

Kendra has been released from custody after paying her bond, which was set at $1470. Her hearing is scheduled for March 23, and she will be in court again on April 29. Meanwhile, Joseph remains behind bars and is currently awaiting extradition to Florida to face charges. He did not enter a plea and waived his right to an extradition hearing when he appeared in court virtually on Friday.
There are no other details about what led to the arrest at this time. The police department shared that the investigation remains “active and ongoing,” adding that the law in Arkansas “strictly limits” the amount of information that can be publicly released in cases involving minors and other sensitive circumstances:
“To protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of those involved, no further details will be provided at this time.”
But according to KARK, police confirmed the couple’s charges in Arkansas are unrelated to Joseph’s molestation case in Florida. However, authorities said this investigation was launched shortly after the alleged incident.
