Jurassic World is a force to be reckoned with!
Not only did the Universal blockbuster set the record for biggest box office opening of all time, but now it’s reported that the adventure film has just passed the $1 billion mark worldwide!
Only 13 days after its release, that sets another record for the Chris Pratt tentpole — four days faster than Furious 7, who set the record in April with 17 days.

The fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise has definitely exceeded expectations, opening as the No. 1 film in over 60 territories!
At this monumental pace, the prehistoric monster movie might have the legs to break the all time box office record and beat out Avatar, which grossed a total of $749.8 million in the U.S. alone!
If that sounds like too big to compete with, James Cameron‘s sci-fi adventure only grossed $212.7 million at the same point of release as Jurassic World.
Either way, we’re sure the folks at Universal are thinking of how much they can milk the success of this rebooted franchise!
