Kaitlyn Bristowe Accuses Ex Shawn Booth Of Using Her For Clout For His Gym!

Kaitlyn Bristowe just put her ex Shawn Booth ON BLAST!

In a new episode of her fiancé Jason Tartick’s podcast, Trading Secrets, on Monday, the reality star said she thinks her ex-fiancé was totally using her!

As Perezcious readers may know, the pair got engaged on season 11 of The Bachelorette in 2015. But things soon deteriorated once they were out in the real world. Now we may have a better insight into why! Kaitlyn has some brand new bombs to drop about why they broke up…

Recalling the end of their relationship, the reality star shared:

“It was, like, getting down to the end where we both just didn’t see it going anywhere.”

Even though they knew they weren’t meant to be, Kaitlyn believes Shawn was doing everything he could to stay in the relationship — for his own benefit! She explained:

“It felt like he was hanging on until his gym opened. And that’s where I felt used professionally.”

Damn!

He used her for publicity?? That’s really low if true.

Elsewhere in the podcast, the 37-year-old admitted her ex struggled with the attention she received from being the lead of the hit ABC dating show, she added:

“This is all just from my point of view and from how I felt and things that I saw. It doesn’t mean they’re right or wrong, but would you or would you not agree that when couples come off the show — whether it was a ‘Bachelor’ and the woman who picked or ‘Bachelorette’ and the guy she picked that — that is a really hard foundation to start on and a power struggle?”

Tartick agreed, saying he thinks the show “personally, professionally, [and] financially” lays an unstable foundation for couples, making it “close to impossible” for them to remain together. Kaitlyn reflected:

“All of these opportunities, they’re like, ‘We want Kaitlyn there and well, Shawn can come too,’ or ‘Maybe not. Maybe it’s just Kaitlyn or it’s the two of us together.’ But like it was always if I was there, then he was invited. And I think that on top of already feeling emasculated on the show where you’re not the one and there’s other relationships building and you thought it was you the whole time and then you realize it wasn’t — how does the relationship even work after that? I don’t know. It’s hard.”

Soo… Shawn was jealous AND using her?! No wonder they didn’t last! Just as Kaitlyn’s story suggests, they called off their engagement in 2018, the same year the personal trainer opened Boothcamp Gym in Nashville. Oof.

Luckily, the Off The Vine podcast host moved on quickly the next year with Bachelor Nation star Jason. They got engaged in May 2021. While Shawn hasn’t addressed these latest claims, he did discuss the pair’s relationship on the Austin AF podcast in November 2021, saying:

“I guess it wasn’t [true love] because we’d still be together if it was.”

He went on to call his former bride-to-be’s decision to pursue Jason so soon after their split “disrespectful.” Seems like they still have some bad blood! Bet he’s not going to like what she has to say now. Hear the entire podcast (below)!
