Katie Holmes has reportedly been offered a starring role in the Broadway revival of William Mastrosimone‘s controversial drama Extremities!
The play, which is expected to run during the 2011-2012 season with Kenny Leon attached as a director, focuses on a woman who turns the tables on her rapist and with the help of her roommates, struggles to decide what to do with him.
Chloe Sevigny has also reportedly been offered a role, most likely as one of the roommates!
Perhaps Katie thinks that this will do for her career what it did for Farrah Fawcett‘s back in the ’80s, and establish her as a serious actress – and maybe it could!
We’d LOVE to see her succeed in a part like this! We definitely think there’s potential there!
