It’s no secret that Katy Perry is head over heels for her cat, Kitty Purry.
But, surprisingly, that wasn’t always true.
She said:
“I hated cats when I was growing up because I had dogs, and I really didn’t understand cats.
Then, all of a sudden, a cat kind of walked into my life and wouldn’t leave, and her name is Kitty Purry.”
And after spending some time together, the two of them really began to hit it off once Katy realized how surprisingly emotionally complex a cat can be.
“I started to have to be a little more patient, I had to really kind of figure her out.
And then I started to notice, ‘Oh my God, maybe that’s kind of how I am.’ You have to take a little patience with me. You have to earn my affection.”
A true love story.
What a lovely couple!
