Harvey Weinstein wants Katy Perry to be the next Marilyn Monroe! On Broadway!
His latest film, My Week With Marilyn, is about to debut in theaters with everyone thinking it’s gonna rack up tons of accolades.
And if and when the success hits like anticipated, Harvey is serious about turning it into a Broadway musical with Katy as the star.
The legendary movie man says:

If the movie works, I would try to make it a musical and I would go to Katy first. I think she can play Marilyn on the Broadway stage. I think she would be amazing. Katy posted about [the movie] on her Twitter and Facebook and the next thing you know 250,000 people have downloaded the trailer in an hour.

Weinstein and Katy recently worked together to make a MWWM/The One That Got Away mashup that is unbelievable!
