It’s like we’re playing American Idol musical chairs!
Earlier today, our dawg Randy Jackson stepped down from his role as an American Idol judge. This leaves an empty seat at the judges’ table — and Keith Urban is rushing to snag it!
As we speak the country crooner is in the “final negotiation stages with producers to take the third judging spot on the show.” It’s only a matter of hours before it’s official!
Here’s why Idol producers would be silly not to take him:
– He can bring his wifey Nicole Kidman to the show
– His country background gives him a compelteltly different perspective than the other new Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
– AAAAND they can have him for (relatively) dirt cheap!
Once the Aussie joins the crew there will be only one seat left to fill!
Sadly our source tells us that the fourth judges seat will NOT be going to another lady-judge. Apparently the show’s sexist heads honchos don’t think a female dominated panel will work. (Sorry Alanis Morissette fans!)
This leaves Pharrell, Nick Jonas or a mystery guy left fighting over that final seat!
