Keke Palmer Makes History On Broadway As The First African American Cinderella!

This girl is makin’ moves, y’all!
Not only did the former True Jackson, VP star become the youngest person to have their own talk show, she’s about to become the first African American to be Cinderella on Broadway!
The producers of Rodgers and Hammerstein‘s Cinderella announced that Keke is set to make her debut as the well known princess on September 9th!
She’s definitely super excited about her new gig!
Keke said in a statement:

“I have an infinite amount of gratitude to show, I am thankful to be able to do this and excited for the discipline it will bring.”

It’s certainly a great opportunity for the budding superstar!
Lead producer Robyn Goodman is also thrilled to have the 20-year-old join the cast! She said:

“We are excited to have this multi-talented young actress/singer join our happy Cinderella family. She grew up in the Chicago acting community and definitely has musical theatre in her blood.”

2014 is definitely the year of Keke Palmer, no?!!
