Kevin Spacey’s Lawyers Claimed His Alleged Victim Allowed Himself To Be Groped For 3 Minutes!

Kevin Spacey’s lawyers tried — and failed — to block prosecutors from filing charges against the House of Cards star, arguing that sexual assault victims do not allow themsleves to be groped by a predator for a solid three minutes.
Attempting to get the order blocked on grounds of insufficient evidence, Spacey’s legal team argued that the actor’s alleged victim, who was 18 at the time, did not report the incident to authorities the night it occurred or the next day; he wasn’t interviewed in person until over a year later.

According to the transcript, obtained by the Boston Globe, the 59-year-old’s lawyers say the alleged victim — the son of former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh, who publicly came forward last year and accused the actor of groping her “starstruck” son at a bar on Nantucket — told police that he was the one who approached Spacey at the bar and exchanged phone numbers with him. 
The alleged victim sent his girlfriend a Snapchat video during the encounter, but Spacey’s attorneys argued that it simply showed someone’s hand touching another person’s shirt, “but no groping”. They also say he lied about his age, apparently claiming he was 23. 
But here’s their big swing: Unruh allegedly told investigators that Spacey groped him for around three minutes, claiming he didn’t move away from the actor or tell him to stop. Attorney Alan Jackson argued to the judge:

“That’s an incredibly long time to have a strange man’s hands in your pants, correct?”

Unruh reportedly told police he couldn’t scoot away easily because the bar was packed; the teen allegedly also had between eight and 10 drinks of beer and whiskey in a little over an hour — allegedly causing Unruh to become so drunk, he may have blacked out; Unruh’s mother had said her son “panicked, he froze” because he was so blindsided by Spacey’s slippery hands. 
In the end, the judge thought the evidence was sufficient enough. Spacey was charged with felony indecent assault and battery.
