Kirsten Dunst will be taking on the lead role in the upcoming Lars von Trier sci-fi disaster film Melancholia alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Alexander Skarsgard.
Penelope Cruz was originally tapped for the role, but she signed on to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides instead.
Lucky break for KiKi — and quite a casting change coming from Lars! Seriously, could he choose any two actresses more different from each other?
We might have to go see this though for the hotness that is ASkars!
