Many people in the United States are not feeling very holly jolly this week — and they’re letting Kim Kardashian.
On Thursday, just one day after the news broke that Donald Trump was elected president over Kamala Harris, the reality star posted a new holiday campaign for her brand SKIMS. Yep, instead of joining all the celebrities in speaking out about the outcome of the election, she decided to post about her business. And understandably, fans are not happy with her. Especially everyone who knows the price of everything is about to skyrocket thanks to Trump’s insane tariff plan.

The video campaign features Goldie Hawn with her kids Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson and their families. Kate’s fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, their daughter, Rani, and her two sons, Bingham and Ryder, appear in the festive ad. Oliver is joined by his wife, Erinn Bartlett, their sons, Wilder and Bodhi, and their daughter, Rio. Everyone showed up — except for Kurt Russell — all wearing matching green sleepwear as they happily dance around in a massive dining room, pass around desserts, and more. It’s a joyful and lavish display. So yeah, not the vibe right now. Check it out (below):
Most folks probably would have thought the ad was cute… if it dropped at a different time. But right now? Not so much. It’s extremely bad timing for those trying to come to terms with the era of racism, violence, barbarism, and economic devastation we’re about to enter. And people hopped in the comments section to make sure Kim knew just how “out of touch” she is. See the reactions (below):
“This is cringe! Read the room Kim”
“Love you kim, but this is not the time”
“Meanwhile most people can’t afford Groceries”
“After the election results, with people struggling to get any food, why post this insensitive campaign???”
“Your silence during the most consequential election of our lifetime, speaks volumes.”
“This is incredibly insensitive considering the election”
“Girl please. Completely out of touch.”
“Not right now Kim”
“So tone deaf doll….”
“Kim, there’s people that are dying”
“Not speaking or saying anything about the election is very telling lol.”
Did anyone really expect her to say something about the election? One of her good friends is Ivanka Trump…
While many were upset about the campaign (and couldn’t help but compare it to Justin Bieber’s Yummy music video), others were loving it:
“This is a great ad!!!!!”
“This is great xo. Need a little joy right now xo”
“As long as there’s a bag, Kim’s gonna get it. Her work ethic is AMAZING”
“This is the best campaign you have done!! I love these people”
What are YOUR thoughts, Perezcious readers? Do you think Kim was “out of touch” with this campaign? Let us know in the comments!
