Watch Kirk Cameron Weigh In On Todd Akin And 'Legitimate Rape'

If you haven’t been living under a rock…or a place with no access to the internet, newspapers or television, then you already know all about Rep. Todd Akin’s views on “legitimate rape” and abortion.
In case you’re just tuning in, the Congressman is currently running for Missouri’s Senate seat and went on television to declare that — from what he understands “from doctors” — it’s really rare for a woman to get pregnant after being raped.
Ya see, as long as it’s “legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”
While it sounds like he watched the movie Teeth a few too many times or maybe thinks the female uterus is armed with booby traps that eliminate any trespassing sperm, it turns out he simply “misspoke.”
But now, it’s someone else’s turn to put their two cents in on the issue. Check out the video (above) to watch Kirk Cameron shared with CNN his DEFENSE of the controversial politician.
It’s nice to know that Kirk Cameron doesn’t believe there is “any kind of okay rape,” but a little disappointing that he couldn’t take the subject anywhere past his theologically-inspired views on abortion. At least he didn’t bash the gays this time!
