Ok, the back and forth between Forbes and the KarJenner clan is as juicy as an on-again, off-again relationship!
It’s been a little less than a week since Forbes accused Kylie Jenner of lying about her worth (and maybe straight up committing fraud???) and revoked her status as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Now, the publication seems to have come crawling back as it announced the youngest Jenner as this year’s highest paid celebrity.

Still, the good people at Forbes couldn’t help but throw some shade as they conceded her the title. They wrote:
“While she had exaggerated over the years about the size of her business, the money she pulled in from the deal was real –enough to rank as one of the biggest celebrity cashouts of all time.”
But it’s not just Stormi‘s momma at the top of the list. Pulling up behind her was brother-in-law Kanye West.
The Power rapper was not only named the world’s highest paid musician but also clinched the #2 spot on the overall list of highest paid celebs.
Hmmm… now what do these two people have in common? For one, they both fall under the purview of momager-in-chief, Kris Jenner. (Don’t forget that the Forbes exposé specifically pointed towards the reality matriarch as the puppet master behind the whole scheme.)
They’ve also both been publicly critical of the outlet’s reporting on their wealth. With everything going on you’d be forgiven for forgetting back in April how ‘Ye was complaining about the money mag undervaluing his billions and snarking that “no one at Forbes knows how to count.”

More recently Kylie’s Twitter tantrum accused the outlet of “inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions.” Not to mention, the 22-year-old’s lawyer was threatening legal action against the mag earlier this week. His statement read:
“We have reviewed Forbes’ article accusing Kylie of engaging in deceit and a ‘web of lies’ to inflate her net worth. The article is filled with outright lies. Forbes’ accusation that Kylie and her accountants ‘forged tax returns’ is unequivocally false and we are demanding that Forbes immediately and publicly retract that and other statements. It is sad that, of all things, Forbes has devoted three reporters to investigate the effect of the coronavirus crisis on Kylie’s net worth. We would not expect that from a supermarket tabloid, much less from Forbes.”
Taken all together, this info paints quite a picture. We’re not saying anything shady’s going on behind the scenes, but… it is all very interesting, isn’t it?
