This guy got LUCKY!
Jermaine Jackson, the former child actor who was straightened out by Morgan Freeman in Lean On Me(NOT MJ’s brother!), was busted for trying to buy 200 pounds of pot from an undercover police officer last December.
He was facing up to five years in prison, but a judge sentenced him to time served and let him walk free on Tuesday after his initial 30 days in jail.
We hope Jermaine realizes just how lucky he is and used some of that time served to think about cleaning up his act. One thing he was thinking about was getting back in front of a camera, as he told sources:
“I am so glad to put this legal battle behind me so that I can begin moving forward with re-establishing my acting career.”
He’s still got three years of probation ahead of him, so we’ll cross our fingers that his focus on acting will keep his mind off of dealing drugs.
