Lee Aronsohn, the co-creator of Two and a Half Men, isn’t a fan of female-driven sitcoms and isn’t afraid to admit it.
The openly misogynistic writer recently bashed shows like Whitney and 2 Broke Girls in an interview by saying:
“Enough, ladies. I get it. You have periods. But we’re approaching peak vagina on television, the point of labia saturation.”
Umm…what? Television was not invented for Two and a Half Men to rule the ratings and there is PLENTY of room for other comedic perspectives, dude. If you can write a jokes about Charlie Sheen‘s peen for eight seasons, then women can write jokes about their private parts too.
After a Twitter follower unleashed on him for blatantly dismissing all the contributions women have made to his craft, Aronsohn realized his comment made him sound like a huge douche and apologized by tweeting:
“Yes, yes – it was a stupid joke. I’m sorry.”
Yes. It was a stupid joke. He absolutely should be sorry. We just wish he was a little bit more sincere, don’t U?
