Lili Reinhart's SCARY Encounter With A FAKE Uber Driver!

Lili Reinhart Twitter Fake Uber Driver Scare

OMG, this is so scary! If you thought it was dangerous living in Riverdale, don’t kid yourself — it’s got nothing on real life.
Sadly, the real world makes the The CW‘s serial killer plagued town look like Mayberry!
Star Lili Reinhart was reminded of this unfortunate truth on Sunday night.

The real Betty Cooper was leaving the airport when she was very nearly abducted! Well, maybe.
She took to Twitter with her chilling account:

“PSA: I was just ushered to a car by someone posing to be an airport cab/Uber driver. I got to his car and there were absolutely no signs that he was a professional service driver.”

Eesh! That makes us shiver just thinking about it.
Luckily Lili was being vigilant. She continued:

“So I did NOT get into the car. Please pay attention and make smart decisions out there.”

Yes! Thank goodness for quick thinking.
Think of how easily someone could be fooled if they weren’t paying attention!
It curdles the blood to think of what might have happened if Lili had gotten into a car with some stranger — someone she hadn’t called or hired.
Someone who was just… waiting there for her.

Same, Maxine from ‘Living Single’. Exact same.

Thankfully Lili has a good head on her shoulders.
And she has a message out there for others who might be in such a vulnerable position. She advised:

“Seriously… please be careful out there. You don’t have to be nice or worry about being rude. Trust your gut. It could save you.”

Absolutely!
Too many times we don’t speak up out of fear of being thought of as rude. Women especially are often put in the position of being called as a “bitch” for asserting themselves.
But you know what? When it comes to your safety, do NOT even mess around.
Let them call you whatever they want, you have to protect yourself first and worry about what some stranger thinks never.
Sadly Lili is not the first young celeb to face this exact situation.
Back in 2016 Kevin Smith‘s daughter, Harley Quinn Smith, was very nearly kidnapped by men posing as drivers and telling her “to get in the car.”

Even though she was a mere 16 years old at the time, the actress had presence of mind enough demand to see the sketchy guys’ Uber app — which they didn’t have!
She wrote of the horrifying ordeal at the time:

“PEOPLE OF LOS ANGELES- I was just standing outside a Starbucks in Brentwood, where I was waiting for my uber when a large, beige car drove up to me and tried to get me to think they were my uber. There were two white men (age 20-30) in the driver (blonde hair) and passenger (brown hair) seat with an uber sign on their front window, but they were most definitely not uber drivers. When I asked who they were there to pick up, making sure it was the right car, they wouldn’t answer me and said to get in the car. They didn’t have the uber app on their phone and were clearly just two disgusting dudes trying to kidnap a girl standing on her own. Protect yourself and never ever get in a car without checking that it’s the correct car first!!! I was in too much haze of fear that I wasn’t thinking straight enough to think to take a picture of the drivers or the license plate, but if you see a car like this PLEASE report it to the police and stop them from trying to pray on other young girls!!! We have already reported it to the police, but more information would be helpful in finding them. Be careful and look out for yourself/others!!!!”

Seriously, y’all!
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!
