Lori Loughlin Is 'Exasperated' Her College Admissions Trial Is Taking So Long

Lori Loughlin is exasperated by how long her case is taking.

Get used to your new normal, Lori Loughlin.
The former Fuller House star is neck deep in ongoing court proceedings for her and her husband Mossimo Gianulli‘s involvement in the nationwide college admissions scandal.
As we’ve told you, the couple allegedly bribed USC officials $500,000 to fabricate their daughters’ participation on the crew team, despite having never played the sport. The move directly secured Olivia Jade and Bella‘s admission to the university.

The 54-year-old actress’ legal defense team and several defendants in her case appeared in court on Monday, June 3 for status hearings, per People. The next court date is reportedly set for months from now, on October 2.
If you’ve been keeping track (of course you we have), it’s been nearly three months since the massive scandal orchestrated by William Rick Singer was exposed by United States Federal Prosecutors on March 12.
A source close to Loughlin tells the outlet that the actress is “exasperated” by the long wait until the next court date, and that the entire process itself is excruciating.
The insider dished:

“People who are not in the legal field often don’t understand how long these things take. Lori and Mossimo are seeing firsthand that court cases move slowly.”

The source continued, adding:

“They’re having to come to terms with the fact that this isn’t going away anytime soon. This will be over their heads all summer long, and it could still be pending during the holidays. At this point, they have to get used to the new normal.”

Considering the massive scope of the bribery scandal and all of the parties involved — including Desperate Housewives alum Felicity Huffman who recently plead guilty for her part — we’re inclined to agree that this thing ain’t blowing over anytime soon!
In the meantime though, another insider previously told People that Lori’s “whole life focus has changed drastically” since she’s no longer able to work while fighting her case. The confidant shared:

“Lori in particular has become extremely well-versed in the case. She’s an active participant in her own defense, feels like she’s got a valid defense, and that when all the evidence comes out, she won’t be found guilty.”

We’re still not so sure about that, uh, evidence mentioned there…
But it does sound like Aunt Becky will have an ample amount of time to beef up her defense and prepare for whatever comes next!
In stark contrast, the star’s 19-year-old daughter and YouTube personality is already hard at work planning her career comeback. My how quickly things change…
