As you know, George Clooney‘s better half nearly stole the show at the royal wedding last weekend — and now it sounds like she’s helping show the former actress the ropes around London!

An insider tells People of the 40-year-old lawyer’s new friendship with the Duchess:
“Meghan and Amal have known each other for a while [and share] many interests. Amal has been helping Meghan settle into London life. It was a very natural friendship from day one.”
Amazing! As for Meg’s agenda as a royal, another source says the 36-year-old is ready to get to work fulfilling her duties alongside Prince Harry:
“She’s not going to want to be a quiet princess and simply open hospitals or cut ribbons.”
Lorraine Heggessey, chief executive officer of the Royal Foundation, further says Meghan will likely focus on “young women and teenage girls. She is familiarizing herself with the landscape in this country”:
“She’s meeting groups and wants to do that privately so she can get to know people.”
That’s our girl! Meg’s longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin adds to the outlet:
“There is a lot of work ahead of her, and it takes a really strong person to fill those shoes. This is now a huge platform for Meghan to really get into the activism that she wants to do. She’s really stoked about taking on the role and trying to make change happen.”
