Meghan Markle‘s co-star is desperate for her to return to acting!
As Perezcious readers know, the one-time TV star walked away from Hollywood stardom after she fell for Prince Harry. She’s dipped her toes back into the industry by appearing in and producing documentaries and working on other projects mostly with Netflix (though the couple lost their pricey deal with the streamer), but she’s yet to fully restart her on-camera career. But her former Suits co-star Eric Roberts and his wife Eliza are hoping the day will come — and soon!

Speaking to DailyMail.com last week, per the outlet on Monday, Eric, who played Charles Forstman on the legal show, speculated her eventual Hollywood comeback will “blow everybody’s mind.” His wife, who is a casting director, added:
“It is time. And Meghan needs to come back to work. I feel like her whole family will support it, and she is amazing.”
Eliza claimed the only reason she stopped acting was that the royal family had concerns about her “very sexy” Suits character, Rachel Zane:
“It is tricky because of the monarchy. Her role in Suits was very sexy. … Her making love with another man, that was just — they’ve never seen anything like that.”
But now that she’s no longer on good terms with the royal family, does she really need to give up her career? Eliza doesn’t think so:
“She worked so hard to get there. That was just too much. Women don’t give up their jobs for a marriage anymore. I understand the intention, and she thought she’d be satisfied with doing good works in the world. But she needs to be acting. She is a young woman who needs to be acting. Meghan is a star. From the second you see her, she just has star quality. It doesn’t matter. It was always going to happen.”
Julia Roberts‘ brother agreed:
“I think she should come back. I think she will come back. And I think she’s going to be fantastic and blow everybody’s mind.”
Aw! She’s got a fan in these two!
Only time will tell if Meghan dives into acting again. She filmed her first film cameo, playing a version of herself, in a movie late last year. Maybe that’ll convince her to find more roles??
