Harry & Meghan: An African Journey has been causing quite a stir online, and apparently with the royal family, too!
The new ITV documentary, which focuses on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s recent tour of South Africa also sheds light on the struggles the couple have faced individually and together.

While many online have praised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for being so open about the less than perfect aspects of life, eyebrows have reportedly been raised by members of their family about why they chose to be so candid.
Royal sources tell E! News that family members were “fairly astonished” at the “level of personal detail” the two chose to share in the doc. A specific sore subject is the now-confirmed rumors of distance between Harry and Prince William, especially because Buckingham Palace had “tried so hard to play down rumors of a rift in recent months.”
ICYMI, the 35-year-old explained (below) to host Tom Bradby there has been added strain on the relationship with his big bro:
“Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under inevitably, you know, stuff happens. But look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me.”
A very diplomatic response!
But despite any issues, the two will always be brothers! Archie Harrison‘s dad continued:
“You know, we don’t see each other as much as we, as much as we used to because we’re so busy. But, I love him dearly and, you know, the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. Just as I said, as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”

The royal insider added (below):
“There also seems to be a lot of bemusement within the royal family about what exactly Harry and Meghan are trying to achieve, as members of the royal family do not usually speak in such detail about personal matters. It’s fair to say that there is a deep sense of unease in the royal households about the direction this is all headed.”
Basically confirms exactly what the former Suits star shared in her chat! The 38-year-old shared:
“I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a ‘stiff upper lip.’ I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging.”
We’re here for the shade!!
This report comes after a source spoke out to BBC on William allegedly being “worried” about his brother and sister-in-law, noting that the two are “in a fragile place” since the special aired.
