With all the clamor over the Royal Baby about to be born, it’s easy to forget it’s only been ONE YEAR since the previous one!
Yep, April 23 marks the first birthday of Prince Louis, the third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The Royals celebrated by giving a gift to the people — more photos of the precious Prince.

The Kensington Palace account posted on Instagram:
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share these new photographs of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday tomorrow ?
The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.”

Thousands of fans left sweet comments, but one in particular stood out.
The Sussex Royal account commented:
“Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from both of us ??xo”
Awww!
The “both of us” refers to Louis’ famous uncle and aunt, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
And yes, the message is very sweet. But it’s doing more work than that…
See, there’s this theory the Sussex Royal account is not run by some intern or PR person but by Meghan herself as a way to get back interacting with fans on social media.

The casualness and first person structure of the comment, not to mention the adorable emojis, is yet more evidence of that.
The perceived personal connection with Meghan has gotten the new account over 5 million followers in less than a month; it may even overtake the Kensington account at this rate…
You’d be forgiven for forgetting Louis’ birthday; the little guy has largely been kept out of the spotlight.
Not only do Will and Kate “prioritize bringing up the children in as normal an environment as possible over anything else,” as a royal insider told UsWeekly last year, there’s also less public interest.
The decrease is perhaps due partially to being old hat for the British public, in regards to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at this point. He is a threequel after all.
But there’s also markedly less chance he’ll ever ascend to the throne.
They’ve called Harry the spare for years; Louis has both big brother Prince George AND big sis Princess Charlotte in his path.
That means, barring some kind of ruthless Game Of Thrones scheming, he will NEVER have to worry about being King.
