These two are all set to take some VERY well deserved time off as a lovely royal couple — and two new parents!
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly ready to take about “six weeks” off from public engagements towards the end of the year, in order to spend some valuable “family time” together away from the public eye and the limelight of the media. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will apparently spend the time off — which is planned to start in mid-November — split between the UK and the US.

According to People, that means it’s very likely the couple would celebrate Thanksgiving in America at some point in late November. Awww!
A royal source confirmed the news, too, telling the outlet (below):
“The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time.”
Fun!!! Their schedule is still up in the air as far as details go, but the source reveals that they’ll definitely be looking to lay as low as possible and hang out with their adorable baby boy. Surely, they will both welcome some time just to be themselves, away from the scrutiny.
Obviously, with all that Meghan has been going through recently — and it feels like she’s only just scratched the surface on talking about it — it would seem that family time with Master Archie away from the press and the media would be much-welcomed! Plus, any excuse to get back home to America and see her friends and partake in even a few small American customs must be a nice little treat for the former Suits actress.

As for Harry, well, at least spending a little bit of time away from the UK may do him well, too, considering his major tiff with the media boiled over into a massive lawsuit recently. The Duke will also be out of his older brother’s hair. And though it’s not the first reason on the list to head off to America, reports of a chasm between the two royal bros make us wonder whether a little distance wouldn’t do both of them some good.
